KING JIMMY`S FREETOWN (ABANDONED SLAVE SITE) AND THE HORROR OF THE CIVIL WAR IN SIERRA LEONE !!!!

KING JIMMY`S IN FREETOWN

King Jimmy is an historical port in Freetown. In the 18th century it was the centre of the slave trade in Sierra Leone. Thousands of people were taken down the steps and put on boats to the Americas. The area has been neglected for many years but still exists as a place where people live and work.

I wish the government of Sierra Leone would make an effort to restore this historical site.
This could create alot of jobs and help preserve a vital historical site. This is a country which
is rich in minerals but is also one of the poorest countries in the world. Sad to say but it`s true.....
